Description
Swordship is a roguelike where dodging is your best weapon. Trick your enemies into killing each other, steal containers to upgrade your ship and unlock new ways to play. Dodge, dive, die, learn, repeat.
Dodging ?
If Swordship was a martial art, it would be aikido. To acquire faculties allowing to reduce to nothing the adversary by using its force against him. The feeling of seeing one's movements projected before one's mind. These fractions of time where the player abandons himself in the quintessence of the dodge compose the first pillar of Swordship.
Less is more
Very few unnecessary things on the screen, few rules but many possibilities, a few snippets of stories in a complex world. This minimalism, this side of putting less to do more, is found in several aspects of the project. We tried to always have this balance between the essential and the unnecessary, between readability and cosmetics, between tactics and action in order to have the balanced project we want to strive for as developers.
